Stargate SG-1 – Detailed Gate with Base

This model features a detailed, print-optimized Stargate in the style of *Stargate SG-1*. The gate was completely reconstructed based on various drawings, film footage, and close-up views.

The dialing ring features 39 distinct, clearly raised glyphs; these were intentionally reinforced for FDM printing to ensure they remain clearly visible even when using a 0.4 mm nozzle.

The base is integrated directly into the model, ensuring stability. A built-in cable channel allows for the installation of an LED strip if using transparent filament (I used Eryone’s transparent blue) for the event horizon.

A combined STL file is included for simple single-color printing. Additionally, a multi-color 3MF file is available; in this version, the gate and base, the dark locking elements, the gold glyphs, and the amber-colored chevron inserts are set up as separate color objects. These can be assigned colors within the Object Management section of Anycubic Slicer-Next.

As a starting point, I recommend a layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm, three walls, approximately 15% infill, and a 5 mm brim. The gate is printed lying flat to minimize excessive purge waste (60 color changes at 0.16 mm); supports should ideally be generated only from the build plate. The Arachne wall generator is recommended for the fine glyphs and ribs.

The print profile is fully configured for multi-color printing at 0.16 mm using a 0.4 mm nozzle.

Stargate SG-1 – detailliertes Tor mit Sockel 

Dieses Modell zeigt ein detailliertes, druckoptimiertes Stargate im Stil von Stargate SG-1. Das Tor wurde anhand verschiedener Zeichnungen, Filmaufnahmen und Detailansichten vollständig neu konstruiert. 

Der Wahlring besitzt 39 unterschiedlich gestaltete und deutlich erhabene Glyphen und wurden für den FDM-Druck bewusst etwas verstärkt, damit sie auch mit einer 0,4-mm-Düse gut erkennbar bleiben. 

Der Sockel ist fest in das Modell integriert und ermöglicht einen stabilen, Stand. Auch lässt sich durch einen vorbereiteten Kabelkanal ein LED Streifen einsetzen, wenn man Transparentes Filament ( ich habe Blau-Transparent von eryone genutzt) für den Ereigniss-Horizont. 

Enthalten ist eine zusammengefasste STL für den unkomplizierten Einfarbdruck. Zusätzlich steht ein Mehrfarben-3MF zur Verfügung. Dabei sind Tor und Sockel, die dunklen Verriegelungselemente, die goldenen Glyphen sowie die bernsteinfarbenen Chevron-Einsätze als getrennte Farbobjekte angelegt. Diese können im Anycubic Slizer-Next in der Objekt Verwaltung eingefärbt werden.

Als Ausgangspunkt empfehle ich eine Schichthöhe von 0,12 bis 0,16 mm, drei Wände, etwa 15 Prozent Füllung und einen 5-mm-Brim. Das Tor wird liegend gedruckt, um ein Übermässigen Spülabfall zu vermeiden ( 60 Farbwechsel bei 0,16mm) Stützen sollten möglichst nur vom Druckbett erzeugt werden. Für die feinen Glyphen und Rippen empfiehlt sich der Arachne-Wandgenerator.

Im Druckprofil ist alles soweit vorbereitet für Mehrfarbdruck in 0,16mm mit einer 0,4mm Düse.
