Makeronline Community Guidelines

We warmly welcome you to become a member of the Makeronline community!

To ensure a healthy, friendly, and well-organized community environment, we have established the following Community Guidelines to help guide user content publishing and interactions.

By uploading, posting, storing, sharing, downloading, commenting, or otherwise using Makeronline services, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Guidelines.

1. General Provisions

1.1 Purpose

These Guidelines aim to:

Clarify Makeronline’s management boundaries for community content and user behavior

Provide users with clear guidance on publishing, interaction, reporting, and appeals

Establish an effective intellectual property protection mechanism and maintain a healthy community ecosystem

1.2 Scope of Application

These Guidelines apply to all Makeronline users, including but not limited to:

Content creators (model uploaders)

Users who download and print models

Browsers, commenters, and other community participants

1.3 Definitions

For easier understanding, key terms are defined as follows:

1.Rights Holder: Any individual or legal entity that owns intellectual property rights such as copyright, trademark rights, patent rights, etc.

2.User Content: Any content uploaded, posted, stored, or shared by users on Makeronline, including but not limited to 3D models, images, text descriptions, comments, print profile files, etc.

3.Infringement Notice: A formal complaint submitted by a Rights Holder claiming that certain User Content infringes their intellectual property rights.

4.Appeal: A request submitted by a user to dispute and request a review of any content action or account restriction made by the platform based on reports or moderation review.

2. Basic Community Conduct

Makeronline encourages friendly communication, experience sharing, and mutual support. To maintain a positive community atmosphere, users must comply with the following rules.

2.1 Respect and Rational Communication

Respect others’ opinions, creations, and printing experiences

Malicious attacks, insults, provocation, sarcasm, or conflict-inciting behavior are prohibited

When discussing model quality or print failures, users should provide constructive suggestions and verifiable feedback whenever possible

2.2 Prohibited Content

Users must not post or distribute any of the following content:

Illegal, obscene, pornographic, violent, or terrorist content

Insulting, discriminatory, hateful, or otherwise offensive content

Models or print profile files that are clearly inconsistent with the displayed content, missing critical files, or misleading printing results

False or misleading information, including but not limited to exaggerated model functionality, fabricated print results, or claims such as “officially certified / officially recommended / officially authorized” that may mislead users

Any other content that may disrupt community order or negatively impact user experience

2.3 Privacy and Security

Do not disclose or distribute others’ personal information

Avoid sharing sensitive information about yourself or others to protect privacy

Do not disrupt community order or obtain improper benefits through repeated uploads, bulk re-uploads, multi-account operations, malicious download boosting, or interaction manipulation

2.4 Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and inclusive viewpoints are encouraged; respect different cultures, beliefs, genders, and backgrounds

Hate speech or extremist content is prohibited; maintain an open and inclusive community environment

2.5 Reasonable Self-Promotion

Appropriate self-promotion is allowed (such as personal pages, portfolio showcases, or social media links)

Excessive promotion, spam, repetitive posting, junk ads, or frequently posting irrelevant links is prohibited

Harassment-style promotion through comments or private messages is prohibited

2.6 Collaboration and Mutual Support

Users are encouraged to share printing experience, parameter suggestions, failure cases, and solutions

Do not abuse community resources, encourage others to violate rules, or exploit trust for improper gain

Any content that harms cooperation, disrupts order, or damages the community atmosphere is prohibited

2.7 Account Rules and Traffic Diversion Restrictions

Impersonation is prohibited, including using others’ avatars, names, bios, or any information that may cause confusion

Spam advertising or misleading traffic diversion in profiles, comments, or other areas is prohibited

Misuse of official platform logos or misleading terms such as “official / certified / partnered” is prohibited

3. Intellectual Property and Originality Protection

Makeronline highly values intellectual property protection. Users must ensure that any content they upload, post, or distribute is lawful and that they own the relevant rights or have obtained proper authorization.

Users must not use the Makeronline community to engage in any activities that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, including but not limited to:

Uploading, posting, or distributing 3D models protected by copyright without permission

Copying or re-uploading others’ models and claiming them as original

Content with only minor modifications (such as scaling, cropping, recoloring, parameter adjustments, fixing non-manifold surfaces, low-poly simplification, or adding/removing small text or logos) generally does not qualify as an original work or a valid remix/derivative creation

Repeated uploads of the same model or highly similar content (e.g. only changing images, titles, or making slight structural edits) for exposure, coins, revenue, or event rewards are prohibited

Using others’ registered trademarks (or confusingly similar marks) in model titles, descriptions, tags, or the model itself without authorization, which may cause consumer confusion

Uploading or publishing product models that infringe valid patents (including design patents or invention patents)

Continuing to publish content despite knowing there are copyright or licensing issues, including re-uploading after minor modifications

Using trademarks or similar identifiers that may mislead users into believing there is official authorization, partnership, or affiliation

Failing to truthfully disclose sources or creation methods for derivative works, modified models, or AI-generated content

Infringing other rights such as trade secrets, portrait rights, or other forms of intellectual property

Submitting malicious intellectual property complaints without factual basis, disrupting platform order or harming others’ rights

For derivative works, modified models, or AI-generated content, users should truthfully disclose the creation method or source in the model description.

4. Reporting Mechanism

If you discover any suspected violations or improper behavior within the Makeronline community (including but not limited to intellectual property infringement, inappropriate content, harassment, privacy violations, spam advertising, etc.), you may submit a report through the following methods. Makeronline will review and handle the report in accordance with these Guidelines.

4.1 How to Report

Use the “Report” feature provided by Makeronline.

4.2 Recommended Information to Include (Applicable to All Reports)

To help Makeronline verify and process your report efficiently, it is recommended that you provide:

1.The specific location of the reported content (such as model link, content ID, comment location, user profile, etc.)

2.A brief explanation of the violation

3.Screenshots or additional supporting information (if available)

4.3 Additional Materials for Intellectual Property Reports (IP-Related Only)

If the report involves intellectual property issues such as copyright, trademarks, or patents, you are required to additionally provide the following information:

1.Rights holder identity information: name/company name, address, phone number, email address

2.Proof of rights ownership: clear documentation proving ownership (such as trademark registration certificate, patent certificate, copyright registration, or other valid evidence). If submitted by an agent, an authorization letter is required

3.Infringing content identification: the exact location of the suspected infringing content (such as the full URL link)

4.Infringement statement: specify which rights are infringed (which trademark, which patent, which work, etc.)

5.Statement of authenticity: confirm that the information provided is true and accurate, and that you are the rights holder or an authorized representative

4.4 Platform Handling

After receiving a valid report, Makeronline will conduct a review and, based on the review results, may take actions including but not limited to: hiding content, removing content, limiting visibility, or disabling links.

Makeronline may forward necessary information from the report (excluding the reporter’s contact details) to the reported party, in order to help them understand the reason for the report and provide explanations or submit an appeal.

5. Appeal Mechanism

If your content or account has been subject to enforcement actions due to user reports or Makeronline’s review (including but not limited to content removal, content hiding, limited visibility, muting, upload restrictions, etc.), and you believe the action was taken in error or you have additional information to provide, you may submit an appeal in accordance with the requirements below.

5.1 How to Appeal

Go to: Me → Reports & Appeals to submit an appeal.

5.2 What to Include in an Appeal

1.Account information and contact details

2.Details of the affected content/account (such as model link, content ID, type of action taken, etc.)

3.Appeal reason and supporting evidence (such as proof of originality, authorization documents, fair use explanation, chat records, or other supporting materials.

4.Statement: you declare that the information provided in the appeal notice is true and accurate, and you agree to bear legal responsibility for any false statements.

5.3 Platform Handling

Makeronline will review the appeal and provide feedback within a reasonable timeframe through the appeal channel.

If an appeal involves an intellectual property dispute, Makeronline may forward the valid appeal materials to the original complainant. If the complainant fails to provide notice of having initiated judicial or administrative proceedings within fifteen (15) business days, Makeronline may restore the affected content.

6. Platform Management and Penalty Mechanism

6.1 Handling Violations

To maintain Makeronline order and protect intellectual property, Makeronline will take appropriate actions against violations. For users who upload infringing or other prohibited content, Makeronline may consider factors such as the nature of the violation, scope of impact, and violation history, and take measures including but not limited to:

Warning notices

Content removal, content hiding, or visibility restriction

Restrictions on earning and spending points and/or revenue

Temporary muting or temporary suspension

Restrictions on earning and spending points/revenue

Permanent account ban

Repeat infringements or serious violations will be handled more strictly.

For content that may pose significant risk or wide impact, Makeronline reserves the right to take temporary actions first, followed by notification and review procedures.

6.2 Penalty Appeals

If a user disagrees with a penalty decision, they may submit an appeal within five (5) business days. After receiving a valid appeal, Makeronline will conduct a review and notify the appellant of the review result through the appeal channel within fifteen (15) business days.

During the review process, the original enforcement measures will generally remain in effect. If the appeal is determined to be valid, Makeronline may adjust or revoke the relevant enforcement measures as appropriate.

7. Commitments and Responsibilities of All Parties

7.1 Authenticity of Information

Both the complainant and the reported party commit that all submitted information, materials, and statements are true, lawful, and accurate. Any liability or loss caused by false information shall be borne by the submitting party.

Makeronline may impose restrictions on users who submit malicious reports or false appeals.

7.2 User Responsibility

Users are fully responsible for the legality of the content they upload, post, or distribute, and must ensure it does not infringe any third party’s lawful rights.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

As a network service provider, the platform handles infringement notices and appeals in accordance with these Guidelines. This process does not constitute a judicial or administrative determination of whether infringement has occurred. As long as Makeronline fulfills its legal obligations and follows these procedures, it shall not be liable for disputes between users regarding rights claims.

8. Disclaimer

8.1 Reports Not Accepted Due to Incomplete Materials

If the rights holder provides incomplete materials and Makeronline cannot process the complaint in time, such complaint will be deemed invalid notice, and Makeronline shall not be responsible for any direct or indirect losses arising therefrom.

8.2 Responsibility for Newly Submitted Materials

Any materials not provided during the platform complaint process but later submitted in judicial or administrative proceedings shall not be used as a basis to claim that the platform failed to handle the case properly or to impose liability on the platform.

8.3 Incorrect Notices or Malicious Complaints

If the rights holder submits an incorrect or malicious complaint that causes losses to the reported party, the reported party may seek compensation from the rights holder in accordance with applicable laws. Makeronline shall not bear any direct or indirect liability arising therefrom.

9. Supplementary Provisions

9.1 Updates to the Guidelines

Makeronline may revise these Guidelines from time to time based on legal requirements, business development, and community needs. Updated Guidelines will be published on this page and will take effect on the specified date.

9.2 Document Effectiveness

These Guidelines form an integral part of the Makeronline User Agreement. In case of any inconsistency, the intellectual property-related provisions in these Guidelines shall prevail.
